Writing is my joy,

my gift, my balance.

It is my way to

change my world.

Straight from the heartland, Jessica Flax lives in Kansas where she pursues her writing ventures amidst a full time career.

Writing your own bio is weird folks.

I grew up in Kansas and I love it! I have a family and LOTS of family that live close by, so you can imagine how important the concept of family is to me. On the flip side, being a professional working woman has been my drive since I was 16. I currently run Business Development for JYD, Inc. a creative and strategic agency where I have made a career out of helping other people make more money. Dream job, yes, I think so. The absolute best part is learning why people love what they do. Everyone has a story, which is why I am here.

Aside from my work title I go by many nicknames, so if you see me on the street or write to me please call me Jess. I am often called “the girl in a guys’ club” and I will give you my full philosophy on being “the boom stick holder,” if you keep reading. It has taken years of work to understand both roles, and I am no master at either.

While my education has provided me a good foundation, it’s my experiences and willingness to say yes that has lead to opportunities I didn’t think possible. I believe this is where I say, I’m available for speaking gigs and fun conversations over large cups of coffee. Disclaimer, I am not here to be an inspirational speaker but want to make you feel something so plan to get uncomfortable.
