“Motherhood”
I didn’t know what it was like to be a mother
They say it is a title unlike any other
I wasn’t sure that was true
Until I heard your voice and laid eyes on you
The world was suddenly not about me
But something more than I could’ve dreamed
This brown eyed beauty I call sweet pea
Gave me hope, joy and lots of responsibility
Her creative mind leaves me amazed
And athletic endurance goes for days
But it’s her tender heart I cherish most
For it’s a gift not many people can boast
She loves me through all my mistakes
Holds my hand and gives me grace
I don’t know how I will ever repay her
For teaching me how to be braver
She is really becoming her own person
And w/ God at her side she is the best version
So even though she gets bigger every day
She will forever be my Baby Kae
